The UF-IS6204GP-SFP-12V is a compact unmanaged industrial 4-port Gigabit PoE+ switch with 2 Gigabit SFP uplink ports and a wide 12–56VDC power input. Its integrated DC-DC power booster converts low-voltage DC input to the voltage required for IEEE 802.3at PoE+, providing up to 60W PoE power at 12VDC input and up to 120W at 24–56VDC input. With redundant power inputs, fanless IP40 housing and -40°C to +80°C operation, it is designed for solar-powered, transportation, remote surveillance and other industrial Ethernet applications.
The UF-IS6204GP-SFP-12V is an unmanaged industrial 4-port Gigabit PoE+ switch with two 100/1000BASE-X SFP fiber uplink ports. It supports IEEE 802.3at PoE+ and provides up to 30W per PoE port.
Unlike standard PoE switches that typically require a 48V-class power source, the UF-IS6204GP-SFP-12V accepts a wide 12–56VDC input and integrates a DC-DC power booster. This allows low-voltage DC power sources, such as 12V or 24V systems, to provide PoE+ power to connected Ethernet devices.
The switch provides up to 60W total PoE budget with 12VDC input and up to 120W with 24–56VDC input. With two SFP fiber uplink ports, redundant power inputs, fanless operation and a -40°C to +80°C industrial temperature range, it is designed for remote IP surveillance, wireless access points, solar-powered network infrastructure, transportation systems and other industrial Ethernet applications.
Standard IEEE 802.3at PoE+ devices require a higher voltage power source than many low-voltage DC systems can directly provide. This can be a challenge in solar, transportation, mobile and remote industrial installations where 12VDC or 24VDC power is readily available.
The UF-IS6204GP-SFP-12V integrates a DC-DC power booster to convert the incoming low-voltage DC power to the voltage required for PoE+ output.
When powered by a 12VDC source, the switch can provide up to 60W total PoE budget.
With 24–56VDC input, the switch supports up to 120W total PoE budget.
The integrated booster eliminates the need for a separate external DC power converter in many low-voltage PoE installations. It allows a 12VDC or 24VDC power system to directly supply PoE+ devices such as IP cameras and wireless access points through the industrial switch.
This makes the UF-IS6204GP-SFP-12V particularly suitable for remote sites where low-voltage DC power is available but conventional 48V PoE power infrastructure is not.
Many remote and industrial systems use low-voltage DC power, while PoE+ devices require a higher voltage power source.
Solution:
Remote cameras may be installed far from the main network while requiring both network data and PoE power.
Solution:
Using a conventional PoE switch with a separate DC-DC converter increases the number of components and installation points.
Solution:
Commercial switches may not be designed for wide temperature ranges or electrical interference.
Solution:
A single power input can become a single point of failure in critical installations.
Solution:
How Does the 12–56VDC PoE Booster Work?
12VDC Input
24–56VDC Input
Why This Matters
What Problems Does the UF-IS6204GP-SFP-12V Solve?
Problem 1: The Available Power Source Is Only 12VDC or 24VDC
The UF-IS6204GP-SFP-12V integrates a DC-DC power booster, allowing 12–56VDC input to be used for IEEE 802.3at PoE+ applications.
Problem 2: Remote IP Cameras Need Both Fiber Connectivity and PoE
Four Gigabit PoE+ copper ports provide data and power to IP cameras, while two SFP ports provide fiber uplink connectivity.
Problem 3: A Separate DC Booster Adds Installation Complexity
The integrated DC-DC booster combines power conversion and PoE switching in one industrial device.
Problem 4: Industrial Sites Need Reliable Operation in Harsh Conditions
The UF-IS6204GP-SFP-12V uses a fanless aluminum housing, DIN-Rail mounting, surge protection and -40°C to +80°C operating temperature.
Problem 5: Remote Systems May Need Backup Power
The switch supports redundant power inputs to improve power availability.
