This industrial-grade DIN-rail serial device server, featuring an IP40 protection rating, is designed to provide legacy serial equipment with instantaneous networking capabilities. It facilitates the centralized management of distributed serial devices and host systems across a network. The product supports 1 to 4 channels of RS-232/422/485 to a single 100M Ethernet Combo port, which offers the flexibility of either a 100M copper port or a 100M fiber port. To meet the requirements of diverse application sites, the unit is compatible with both 35mm DIN-rail and wall-mount installations.
The server supports a comprehensive suite of network protocols, including TCP, UDP, ARP, ICMP, HTTP, DNS, DHCP, and SNMP. It offers robust management functions such as access control, rapid configuration, and online firmware upgrades. Each serial port supports up to four concurrent TCP or UDP session connections, and the device operates in multiple modes including Modbus TCP, TCP Server, TCP Client, UDP Server, and UDP Client. Users can manage the device via a web-based interface or through the included Windows-based configuration utility, which provides a step-by-step guide to achieving immediate connectivity through simple settings. The network management system is designed with a user-friendly interface to ensure a seamless operational experience.
The hardware utilizes a fanless, low-power consumption design capable of operating across wide temperature and voltage ranges.
