The converter is designed to provide the most versatile connection possible between two RS-232 serial equipment using fiber optic cable. It allows any two pieces of serial equipment to communicate full-duplex over single fiber up to 20km. The converter supports transparent conversion for not only RS-232 data lines, but also all RS-232 control signals. It also supports all RS-232 baud rates with no need for user configuration.
The UF-F232-08 series converter provides for the digital transmission of 8-Channel duplex RS-232 serial data signal over one fiber. Applications for PTZ Control for CCTV Surveillance Systems, Access Control System, Industirlia control, Data Control for Manufacturing / Assembly Platforms, ITS...etc.
The use of optical fiber communication solves the problems of electromagnetic interference, ground ring interference and lightning damage. It greatly improves the reliability, security, and confidentiality of data communication, and can be widely used in various industrial control, process control, Stage Lighting Control, and traffic control occasions.
