The UF-3GSDI-8BV1GE 8 Ch Bi-Directional SD/HD 3G-SDI with Gigabit Ethernet over Fiber Converter is a compact power house that will allow any user to transport 8-Channel Bi-Directional 2.97Gbps 3G-SDI Serial Data Interface over a 2-core fiber. Furthermore, this 3G SDI over Fiber Kit of Transmitter and Receiver are used by pairs. This sturdy Fiber Extender creates an easy drop environment for users that require multiple 3G-SDI sources on one Fiber across any application. Our 8-Channel Bi-Directional 3G SDI over Fiber Kit Unit supports 20km on a single mode fiber. This unit is an SDI over Fiber multiplexer and SDI over Fiber demultiplexer.
You can use this system to transport live video (3G-SDI) from Point A to Point B, while at the same time extending your LAN network over the same fiber connection. This means you can connect computers, routers, or any IP-enabled devices alongside your video signals. or instance, at a remote location, a video camera can send live footage back to the studio (3G-SDI), while a PC or networked device can send or receive data (Gigabit Ethernet) over the same fiber. Both video and data travel securely and efficiently over the same link.
