The UF-DMX08KN series 8-Channel XLR DMX512 Fiber Optic Converter is the professional-grade solution for connecting remote lighting equipment to a DMX512 control console through high-performance fiber optic cabling. Consisting of a dedicated Transmitter (Console Side) and Receiver (Lighting Side), the system utilizes optical fiber as a transmission medium to significantly enhance system performance and extend signal reach far beyond traditional copper limitations. While the electric interface supports standard DMX512 distances exceeding 100 meters, the optical interface supports up to 2km on multi-mode fiber and 20km–100km on single-mode fiber.

This advanced architecture effectively eliminates the threats of lightning strikes, power surges, and electromagnetic interference (EMI) commonly found in complex operating environments. The device supports 8-Channel standard DMX512 data interfaces with a transmission rate exceeding 250Kbps and features zero-latency automatic signal detection. Each individual DMX512 interface can support 32 terminal devices, which can be further expanded via DMX512 amplifiers.

Built for mission-critical reliability, the unit includes +/-15KV (Human Body Model) ESD protection and +/-8KV contact discharge protection. The system is highly versatile, offering adaptive compatibility with both single-mode and multi-mode fiber without requiring manual wavelength adjustments, and can be used with optical splitters to achieve point-to-multipoint (one-to-many) transmission. Housed in a rugged black aluminum enclosure, it is designed to operate in extreme industrial temperatures ranging from -40°C to 85°C. It is the ideal choice for large-scale stage performances, theme park lighting, stadium displays, and urban architectural beautification projects.
