New 5G information is released daily from around the world. Some companies are starting 5G trials in new cities, others are announcing when customers can order their new service, and some businesses are releasing new ideas for how 5G will change the way we live.

5G availability is extremely limited right now, with only a few locations having a live, non-demo, subscriber-based network up and running. However, many companies are just a few months away from launching a full-blown 5G network for customers to use.

5G Releases and Trials

Many companies around the world are announcing where 5G can be used right now and when 5G trials are becoming available.

• June 4: UK's EE turns on 5G in 9 coastal towns and cities.
• June 2: Verizon's 5G Home Internet is set to expand to seven more cities.
• May 31: Scotland's Edinburgh Airport is set to become 5G enabled in late 2021.
• May 29: Bell Canada expands 5G network to 23 new markets across Québec, Ontario and Manitoba.
• May 28: Telkomsel launches 5G in a handful of locations in Indonesia, making it the first to bring the next-gen network to the country.
• May 25: Singaporean telco company Singtel turns on its 5G standalone network.

• May 24: T-Mobile readies 5G FWA for US businesses, will become available June 1.
• May 19: Melita introduces 5G plans to Malta that range from download speeds of 4 Mbps up to 1,000 Mbps.
